Our Story · Generations in the Making
Before Beyond 4/15,
There Was a
Family Business.
Long before coaching programs, webinars, and national
events, there was a family tax office where Chuck and
Elaine Woodson were building something that would
span generations.
Their journey began with a Triple Check franchise.
In 1981, they stepped away from the franchise model
and established Mesa Tax and Bookkeeping Service.
In 1996, the business became Horizon Planning, a name
it would carry for more than two decades.
And growing up right alongside the business was
their daughter, Demi.
From picking staples out of the office carpet as
a toddler to preparing mailers and shredding
confidential documents, Demi learned the business
from the ground up. She received her first official
paycheck at 14 and was managing the office by 18.
What began as her parents' livelihood became a
family legacy built on experience, relationships,
and a commitment to doing right by the people
who trusted them.
